Weird coolant leak

Has any had a coolant leak in the area I circled in the image?

It looks like maybe the seal for the coolant pipe under the turbo melted.

Where there is a gasket, there is always a possibility for that gasket to leak.

Don't tell me what I don't want to hear!

I just put this new turbo on 14 days ago and now I have a leak under it! Damn the Engine Gods!

I ran into the same thing with my Jeep
I installed a completely new Steering system from PSC that included a new resovoir tank, pump and hydralic pump that gets attached to the tie rod.
It's like Power steering on Steroids.

Less than 2 weeks after the install, the water pump fails
Had to remove everything that was just installed

So I completely understand your pain.


What turbo did you install?

EFR 6758, I'll post a complete thread when I have it tuned and running without leaks... DAMN... I can't even get those seals today!

I'm going to go stomp around the house for a while...

My beater has ran fine since 2004 since I bought it but a few months ago I had to install strut bearings (not related to muffler bearings) and just installed loaded struts to save a lot of hassle.

A few weeks later I'm hearing a front wheel bearing whine as I'm driving to Toronto to pick my wheels op for the Solstice. Changed the wheel bearing a few weekends ago.

Why is it that things go in pairs like that?   :idk:

The banjo fitting on the coolant supply line had a cracked weld/solder where the pipe meets the round fitting.

I replaced it and all is well now. Thanks for the help guys!
