ABS/Service ESC/ESC off with trailer wiring
« on: June 02, 2013, 10:16:37 PM »
Hooked up a curt 4 pin plug on the 08 GXP last year, every time I connected either trailer, I got the3 warning displays. Assumed I needed a converter, (trailer both have led lights). Added in the converter this weekend, now I have the 3 errors, all the time  :banghead:

Any ideas? lights all work for the trailers, but the warning msgs are annoying, and prolly means something is not quite right somewhere.

tapped into the wrong wire for the brake light.  The same thing would happen with the wind restrictors lighted feature.

:gaah: and here I thought I'd gotten the wrong brown wire, cr@ppola. Thanks Joe! Wait a minute, that *is* the brown, how many bloody brown wires can there be in one bundle? I've now unsuccessfully tapped into two, figuring the first choice was the ABS wire, last night I went under there again, and the only other brown I saw was more tan to me, but what's tan, just lighter brown. Off to search on the WR brake light wiring info, although I done have the brake feature on mine, and I've tapped in the trunk, like most everyone else. (My tail light wiring is start to look like the only human in a room with 10 billion hungry mosquitoes)  :D

Finally got the right wire, resorted to pulling the liner out, and rear fascia, and no ABS light, at least while no trailer, need to test the trailer now that the ABS light finally hit the required key cycles to go off.  :yay:
