Reprogrammed by Wester's garage, but it should save you the step of having to take it to the dealer.

No I think he means that the ECM will have to be programed to run on the car it is installed on.  I think starting in 08 the ECM is programed with the VIN and it has to match what the BCM is programed with in order to work.

That's true SA. I had bought an ECM with the Westers tune on eBay some time ago and recently I approached Lyndon about getting it set up for my car. He said that the ECM would have to be wiped with a TechII and programmed with my VIN at the dealer. Only then could I send it to Lyndon to get it set up for my car. Of course that meant having to pay for the race tune. As a supporting member of the forum here I DID get a $200 discount on the tune so that sure helped.

Eventually I decided to throw caution to the wind and program my stock ECM that came with the car. As SA said, the ECM tied to the VIN started with the 2008 model year.

Sorry for the disparaging news Ryan, you may wish to contact Lyndon to verify but that was the information I got from him a month ago.

ECM won't matter, I bought a 2009 from a guy in Washington State.  Worked fine on Dee's car.   It came programmed with Trifecta so I'm not able to modify it with HPtuners

Received this from Lyndon today regarding swapping ECMs.

Here's the problem with ECM swapping.
 
1. Nobody knows the modifications on the prior ECM...and they could effectively damage your car or cause other
problems.
 
2. The VIN will not match--this sets up codes in the SDM module, and affects security.
