I know how frustrating it can be to have to wait for custom, special order stuff.  I also know how frustrating it can be as the organizer of a group buy like this.  I once organized a group buy where we ended up collectively spending about $55,000.00, and I had HORRIBLE problems with a vendor that failed to follow through.  In the end it turned out fine, but I felt terrible for making everyone wait several weeks while I got the problems sorted out.  I'm willing to wait, and as long as I eventually get my purchase and it's as advertised, I won't have any qualms.

Hi all,

I am sorry for not posting any information but I just haven't had good news to report.  The rear bars are finished and are being palletized and shipped to us sometime next week on a single pallet.  Once they arrive we will break them down and drill all of the clamps for the grease fittings and ship the rears out to everyone.  The bar kits will be boxed seperately 1 box for the front kit and 1 box for the rear kit.

As soon as our manufacturer finishes up the large run they are working on the fronts will be run, boxed and shipped on a seperate pallet to us.  Due to the amount of orders on this initial run they will not be drop shipped from the manufacturer but it may be possible to drop ship an order or 2 in the future for purchases if we are out of stock here at our shop.

I again apologize for the delays, if I knew that there were going to be these types of delays with this initial run I would not have opened up the group buy when I did.

Dave, I think this comment goes for everyone here... I'm OK with disappointing news, or delays as long as they are communicated.  When those who have sent your business money have to wait, and wait, and post out of frustration that's not a good thing for anyone.

I can understand production delays, I can understand small orders getting bumped for larger orders... but if you don't come forward and tell us those things upfront (instead of asking for updates) the news is harder to take.

I know you... I know your shop.  You've done great things for me (and others), and I'm not the slightest bit worried about getting the product.  I know you'll make things right, it's your nature and we all appreciate that.  I've kept relatively quiet (I believe this is my only my second post since ordering), but I speak up only to provide a perspective from the buyer side.

Any news, on a regular basis, letting us know where "we" (you and your customers) stand goes a LONG, LONG WAY with making people comfortable.

With that said... I'm waiting for these to arrive for my teardown of my suspension and rebuild this spring.

this is why I don't ever participate in first buys of a new product. this isn't something Werks Racing is only guilty of! Sometimes stuff happens.

I'm looking forward to seeing reviews though! I'll prolly get a set sooner or later.

Edit; post on the BB, I'm still OK with waiting for the F&R shipped together if shipping is cheaper, and you feel confident the front will be here shortly (2 weeks).  We still have 2 to 4 feet of snow here and current weather predictions are saying snow is going away anytime soon.

It really wasn't necessary to ship the rears without the fronts but thank you. I sent you an email in return with a request.

Yep, saw that between meetings today... it was the only good news I had today, so thanks!

Mine should be at my house on Friday, so perhaps I'll be the first one to receive theirs?

Agreed. We had actually stated the preference to receive them both at once when this was brought up previously.

My rear anti-sway bar arrived today.  Looks good.  I'm planning to install it tomorrow along with a turbo-back Solo exhaust system.

I got it installed today, along with a SOLO high-flow cat and Mach Shorty exhaust.

It was not as easy getting it in as it was to get the original out.  It's just long enough that it won't slip into place without loosening up a suspension connector.  I have it set on the middle setting, and it is noticeably more neutral to turn in now, even on ice-cold tires and freezing roads.

I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow.

Yesterday's project:

I've had a Solo Mach Shorty and High Flow cat waiting to be installed at the same time.  I was waiting for the rear bar get here before I put in the exhaust.  I didn't want to put it in and take it out again to put the bar on.

Lots to do...

I did everything on jack stands.

The longer ends of the bar are *just* long enough that it won't slide into place in the same space that the OEM comes out of (on my car anyway).  I had to loosen one of the adjustment links so I could squeeze the bar back up into place.  Getting the OEM cat out was way more of a PITA than swapping this bar.

The locking plates are a nice touch, and something I wasn't expecting.  I mistakenly greased the bushings and put them on the bar before I tried putting it back on.  I expected it to slide right into place, so my struggle to get it to fit before I realized I needed to drop the link spread the grease around.  I probably should have degreased the bar before I put the locking plates on, but at this point I was rushing to get the car done.  The wife and I had a date night planned, and I wanted to take the car that doesn't have any room for kids.
:drive:

I'm very pleased with the quality of the rear sway bar and the performance gain in suspension was immediately noticeable.  As you can see, I put it on the middle setting, which I think is roughly 5% stiffer than the Z0K bar.  With my OEM front bar, this makes the car noticeably more neutral at turn in.  Even my wife, sitting in the passenger seat, said she could tell the car was handling better.  I'm honestly a bit surprised at how big of an improvement this was.

Anxiously awaiting the delivery of the front bar.  I have my suspicions that I may prefer the front bar on the softer setting and the rear on the stiffest, but I'll have to see.  My wife occasionally drives this car, so I don't want to induce any over-steer.

I think this may end up being the newest "must have" suspension component for Kappas.  Totally worth the wait so far, and at the group-buy price is definitely a best-buy.

Nice one Anthony H. Can't wait to get mine and for a little warmer weather so I can install mine!    :tool:

Wonder if you could do the bar install off ramps or if it's better with the load off the suspension and with it hanging.   :idk:
