Newbie from Maryland
« on: September 20, 2018, 09:04:22 AM »
08 GXP here. Wanted to see if anyone has the GMPP MAP sensors installed and running into P0236 codes? I’ve replaced the sensors and connectors and made sure they were soldered correctly. Every once in a while I’ll get this code and the car goes in to “limp mode”? Guess I need to give it a bath in holy water 😂

Maybe you need to look at the MAP sensor - give it a clean.

And/Or: Also check the your intake pipe clamps are tight and that the rubber pipes are not backing away from the aluminum ones (giving a momentary leak when under pressure).

And/Or: Also do a visual inspection of the intercooler - check no seams are cracked and no road damage underneath.

Note that both of the last two items are reasonably common.  The OEM worm clamps in the intake pipes have a history of 'letting go'.  Many of us have replaced them with T-bolt clamps.  And the I/C's had a bad batch where they ballooned or cracked - plus anyone can get road damage or parking spot scrapes.

Squid, I've long since sold my Kappa and therefore can't help with your question...

But I have to ask, have you run the CTS-V down the quarter?

That Joe guy is trouble, watch out for him.  He used to have all kinds of issues with his cars and some crazy mods he was trying to do, he would invite a bunch of us over to help fix things.  I guess we finally fixed everything because we haven't had to visit him for a while.  :poke:

Now if we only knew someone that could apply some peer pressure on Joe every few days at say work.

What do you think Critter would that work?  Bob you're bringing the bacon right?

Sounds like a plan to me, doesn't even have to be a mod meet, just a let's all get together meet.  Wonder if GJ will show up from California?
