St Patty's Day Parade
« on: March 10, 2009, 01:17:39 PM »
Smartin set this up and the info is on the BB http://www.solsticeforum.com/forum/f79/washington-dc-st-patricks-day-parade-sunday-march-15th-2009-a-53538/

Here is how to get to the staging area from the IHOP

Route from IHOP to staging area - Google Maps

After Parade there is a lunch is at Murphy's Irish Pub in Old Town.  There isn't a parking lot for the pub so you need to find curb side parking in the area.

We can meet at the Wendy's parking lot.  It is 40 minutes to IHOP from there.  Gas up the night before and you won't have to stop right ChuckDoc?

What time do you want to meet at the Wendy's? This is the same one as last weekend, right?

Well if IHOP is 8:30 then it means we have to leave Wendy's by 7:50, or is 8:30 for breakfast and we really don't have to be there that early?

That is why I asked Smartin what time she leaves IHOP for the parade.  We have to be there to get the Permits...  but not for breakfast if I wanted to eat somewhere else.  8:30 there means I'd have to leave my place around 6:30

John is correct, we would have to leave Wendy's about the 7:50

Andrew, yes, the same Wendy's

Right here...

Thanks Joe, we actually won't be meeting up with you since it will be in the opposite direction from us. See you at IHOP!

SkyHigh,
Yuse guys will be coming down 95 right?  then going west around the DC beltway to 236?  In Baltimore you can take either the 95 tunnel or the 895 tunnel, they will both get you back to 95 south of Bmore.

Sunday is supposed to be partly cloudy and no rain :)

Tomorrow weather forcast for Joe's Garage (Prep for Parade)

If you want to come over for a wax, it'll be a one card at a time in the garage.  We are doing mine tonight...

Critterman - Sunday is supposed to be nice, you'll probably leave yours under the cover tomorrow.   If you still want to come over.  I'll be here!!!

Thanks Critter! We are coming down tomorrow (stopping at Solli's first because someone needs new mud flaps) and staying in DC with Reed's Mom. We would have to come all the way east to meet you guys. It is probably easier if we just meet you at IHOP. I think I checked and the Wendy's was 45 minutes from his Mom's house.

I picked up some magnetic tape at Lowes.  Hoping that will work.  I have extra if you need.

Not your issues, Andrew- no Skyroadster or Solsticeforum from here either. :(

Karen and I arrived in DC, despite a slight delay.
