AfterShock side fenders...
« on: April 14, 2009, 04:43:47 PM »
Here's a pic of the new side fender concept that I've posted on the other board a while back.

Got some preliminary updated pics of the side fender in progress.  It looks like we might be seeing some real life results within the next week or so for test fitting.  rudy

Yes!  All the panels on the sd-290 were great!

Molds are currently being fabricated for production on these panels.  Once i get the first set in my hands for final test fitting and if everything goes smooth, we'll be releasing these for sale shortly.  Hoping to have a set in my hands within the next week or so.  I'll post more pics of progress as things develop.  Thanks for the kudos!

Rudy:

They look good!!!  Are you going to also place the flair-ed out bottom on the fenders? if so, will it be designed to match up with your side rockers?
Also, are the grill inserts going to match your recessed grill inserts and the side rocker insert?  Thanks Rudy, good job.

Rudy:

Looks like the fit of the upper portion of the fender needs some work both on the front (wheel well) and back toward the rear of the fender?  Or is it just the angle of the picture?

This was the very first fender produced and there are several modifications to be made.  We were just posting progress pics.

I had the chance to test fit one side of the new vented fender panel and it fits great!  Bolts right up using factory screws and no modifying or adjustment necessary.  The white inset grill is a paper template for visual purposes only.

The panel is like oem and the look really gives the sol a more aggressive yet refined look to it IMO.  I'll be test fitting the opposite side just for the sake of final fitment and my peace of mind before I give the green light on this part.  I am still working on the grills for the fenders but that should be complete very soon.  Once I finish with the grills and both fenders are completely test fitted, I'll be giving the green light for production.  And like previous projects, there will be a limited time introductory discount price for a set of these fenders which include the grills as well.  I'm going to get this set painted probably some time this week and will take pics of the results after final installation.
