Critterman You will run away offroad if we ever had the chance to meet in person

U4EA Correct, I think the guys knew already bt they like to tease

Uranium-238 With smaller wheels I don't have to push the engine so hard to loose the traction, besides will be much easier to make it slide in 2nd gear. Least, but last, the prices for the rubber is 3 times lower on a 16" rim than on a 18" and many will be destroyed very fast. I need to practice a lot.

Sol Asylum you have too many ideas none of them too good  :banghead:

Smaller rubber mean lower weight, usually. Tire Rack has weights posted to most of their tires.  Post up what you decide.

I tried some basic drifting in a roundabout with stock tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE050), the guy who is teaching me observed that the front end is not "listening" so he said I will need better front tires for a better control.

Going 16" in the rear with poor/medium tires will contribute to that balance among the other things mentioned above.

Going to smaller rims is a novel approach.

Have you fitted sway bars, and if so, which ones.  The ZOK (FE3 version)  rear with stock FE3 front is apparently the thing for slalom and slow cornering.

If that is what you already have, can't you tune the plow out by increasing front pressure, lowering rear, or a combination?

wspohn Thank you for your suggestion sir, the ZOK bars and DDM probeam will be on my car for sure but the shipping is killing me and I'm waiting for a solution. Also I'm trying to decide on suspension.
I can't afford all the things which I need so I have to do some compromises.
Small wheels is another one, a tire for our rims around here is at least 200$ and I will eat some sets only to make first steps in this direction.

I suggest that you obtain a ZOK rear bar and fit it to see if it solves your situation.  Even with high freight, it should be less expensive than new wheels and tires.
