Another JPM Complete Interior
« on: June 22, 2010, 10:16:54 PM »
Looking at Spicy3480's interior and how great it looks, I decided to post up some pics of the work JPM has done for me over the years as well.  My last piece was the seats after deciding not to go aftermarket for entire seat replacement.  I really like the final look and had I gone with some aftermarket seats they would look out of place at best and probably more tacky than anything unless I turned around and had JPM re-cover those seats.

Anyway, everything is covered from the trunk (top and bottom) to the dash (upper & lower), kick panels, door sills, steering wheel (inner & outer), doors (inner & outer), windshield surround, visors, rear panel, parking brake, center console and outer gear shift surround...I think that about covers it...

The interior is actually much darker than the pictures show, the sun was pretty bright that day.  The darkness is more like the pic of the door sill.  That pic was taken on another day before I had my seats re-done.

Some exterior shots as well...

Ohhh now I see it.....very nice touch on the fenders.  Are they entirely made of CF or are they dipped?

Actually since I gave all my money to JPM it is only vinyl from Tony.  Since my previous fenders were cracked from improper lifting somewhere along the line I bought a new set awhile back and elected not to put the piece that closes the slit and leave them functional.  Then I wrapped them in a vinyl that you see on my interior but Dave installed my vertical doors and since he had to cut the fenders a bit, he re-wrapped them in this pattern which actually looks better than the other stuff.  Long story but that's the short of it...

I see someone else has cut holes in their trunk to access the shock settings.

Alcatara, I'm not a big fan altho everyone seems to love it.  I would love to see pictures in a year and see how it is wearing in the seats.

Flyswatter - I had to go back and look, and I was actually looking for one between the seats, becuause Joe catches things like that :)  Took two trips but then I saw the wind restrictor.

Front fenders - I would have to see them in person, in the first picture they look like unfinished and needing painting, it is only when you see them up close that you see the CF.

Over all it has a great look and JPM does excellent work.  You should be proud.

I stole the idea from someone else on the forums, maybe it was you?  Dave cut the holes for me.  I could put my fingers on the rear knobs before but didn't have the leverage to turn them so now this works perfect.

Originally I didn't want any of the alcantara either but I left the design up to Joe and when I saw the center console and door inners I was hooked.  The alcantara is so soft and I really like the diamond stitching.  Yea, I hope the durability is good with it, we'll see...

The flyswatter, I got that way way back before I ever heard of Robert King and others.  I have done next to nothing electrical with the car, just had to many other priorities up to now.

As for the fenders, I did that initially because I didn't feel like getting them painted at the time and had plenty of the vinyl so I thought I would give it a try just to be different.  With the current vinyl on there, yea it doesn't show too well in the pictures from a certain distance but you can see it easy enough in person.  Soon I'll have the option of switching to Norms' fenders once they come.

Thanks for all the comments everyone.

When did they complete the transformation and how long did it take?

He did it in stages over about a three year period.  The last stage was the seats, bottom trunk liner, e-brake and kick panels.  Before that it was the top trunk liner, steering wheel, door sills, doors and door handles.  First thing I did was the entire dash, center console and rear panel.

He finished my seats up after the Maryland Mod meet and I drove up to his shop to get them installed.  It helps being only 3-4 hours away from his shop.  I think I made at least three or four visits to his shop (old and new) plus he installed some stuff up at Dave's shop while my car was there for awhile.

The entire design was Joe's creation.  My only stipulation was that it was all black to include the stitching minus his emblem on the door sills and the redline on the dash.

I think a custom Windrestrictor would really finish the car off.
