You will  get a engine light if your bov is stuck. I put a Hahn bov on my car and it would get stuck often. A engine light would come on every time. I replaced the Hahn valve with a Tial Q bov which has worked perfectly.

Thanks, that confirms what the dealer said.  It is just very quiet.  It is still the plastic one.
