OK not to derail this thread but how does a charity run by the Marines end up being "no guns or swords."  I mean when you think of a branch of the military that still has swords it's the Marines, and gun fanatics hello.  Must have something to do with the Quaker's there in RI.

For what its worth GJ and I had toy guns and swords as kids and just look how we turned out, pretty normal wouldn't you say Critter?

now this toy raiser is for Toy for Tots run by Distinctive Car Club and I'm sure they do this so they don't get picketed for taken toys of violence, my best guess

Sol Asylum and you are not derailing this at all, hope more people notice it :)

SA -10 points for derailing a thread and getting thanked for it.

GaryDN - great job with this Charity!  I've found it can be great fun shopping for toys.  Weebles are making a comeback this year!  When I was a kid I would play with Weebles all the time, it's how I learned to function so well when I'm drunk.

GaryDN - do you take mail in toys?  Something tells me I am not available for the car show...

Short notice for Gary, but I'll take mail in toys.

Reed and I volunteered last year for a non-profit organization that helps needy families and will be doing so again this year. He assisted with their "shopping", they were allowed two select two gifts per child, and I assisted with gift wrapping. I have a closet full of toys that I collect throughout the year (not those kind!) from people at the office that I will load the truck up with when we go there again in December.

Not really, Reed made me do it!

Nah, it was really cool. This place is actually one that receives the boxes donated to the Toys-for-Tots programs. It's really nice to see first hand the appreciation people have for the things most people take for granted.
