As Werks told me with a built motor I could boost up to 20+ PSI and make some serious power in the mid 400whp. If K1 rods and custom pistons are good option I think I will go that way.

I am from Mexico and new in this forum, I have just bought werks stage 2 rtr, I think this month I will have all installed

I'm assuming they allready have the K1 rods, Dave only told me there was a wait for the pistons - they are not from K1 they are coming from Diamond Racing. You'll need to contact Dave@DDM about which K1 rods are being used & the length/piston wrist pin configuration, I'm not familiar with that. I do know that Dave had to give a specific set of specs to Diamond for the pistons to be made.

Thanks much Jimmi that was what I wanted to know. I already contacted Dave, I think Ill get both pistons and rods from him as it will be a lot cheaper than the other option

Why not just swap heads with Helios? That would definitely save you time in the rebuild and it is a "known" good head that performs.  Just a thought. get the best of both worlds, ported and fast... HA HA HA!

I doubt the crack inside your cat caused the problem.  I gutted my Cat with just a screw driver. Its more friable than you would think. Probably failed because of crappy cheap oem pistons that cannot handle horsepower. However you will have a stronger engine now. Hope you get your baby running soon. Wishing you the best

I recently saw a set of ceramic coated pistons heads online and thought wow, Jimmy is gonna have abeast of a car when it is all done! Here's to the future JB!

Its been running so well with the loaner motor I've kind of forgotten about it all for a while.

So, what's up with the Wiseco pistons? I'm starting some long-term planning for 500WHP. Dave, told me I needed to upgrade internals to go any higher than I already am.

They are specifically designed for forced induction/nitrous applications. The ceramic coating resists detonation and heat soak into the piston. The rings/ lans are designed to withstand the higher compression.
