Whip, with a couple of polyps at your age, six years is too long.  Go with 3 to 5.

Is this your way of telling me I'm old?  Wow, a second opinion and it was free (or is this going to cost me down the road?).

Seriously, Chuck, I agree with you and appreciate your recommendation.

My brother is a retired surgeon and he made a statement after my father passed from prostate cancer.

Every male will get prostate cancer if he lives long enough.  Cheerfull thought.

Two types of prostate cancer.  Slow growing, in which case most is found on autopsy (got to be dead for that) and patient died of other causes.  Second type is fast growing, this is what gets ya early.  Very difficult without a prostate biopsy to determine what the outlook is.  (based on a Gleason Score).  This is the importance of a PSA (prostate specific antigen not public service announcement) and followed by a biopsy if significantly high.

There is some exciting research going on that will aid in the treatment and diagnoses in the next 5 to 10 years.

Also if you need a prostate resection, I would go with someone that used the DeVinci robot as there are apparently less complication, although this research is still being done, it is what most of us would have on ourselves.

Now, back to the Tom Foolery and Jocularity.

Sorry Bob, sometimes it is hard for me to change gears and get out of Doctor mode and into silly mode.

I am back now.

:gaah: :barf: :barf: :barf: :( :cryin:

I thought the ass-crack thread was bad.  Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached a new low.

Now lemme see if I can "dig up" pictures of that internal hemorrhoid.  I think I took them to work when my coworker pinned up her ultrasound pictures at her desk...

85% of men will get prostate cancer and the rest are liars, oh wait that's something else entirely.

Reminds me of the time they scoped me. As I was nodding off, the doc asked how I was doing. I told him I thought my colon was swollen because I could feel something heinous in my anus.
