Howdy from just south of Houston
« on: May 02, 2011, 05:32:17 PM »
I've had my 2008 Cool GXP since March 12th (and I love it!)
I found this place when I was signing up for the meet in Austin.  I've been a regular on solsticeforum since I got my GXP.  Already got a few mods on my car - backbone brace, probeam, trifecta tune, debadged her, and getting a short antenna soon.

I love everything about the car.

About me - 41, married, 1 son (9).  He'll be going to Austin w/ me.  It's the week after father's day, so it'll be a good outing for just the two of us.
I'm new to modding cars and working on them at all.  But I'm taking right to this solstice (well, as much as my budget will allow).

Ha, ha, ha, you got that right SHiNY!  Like you already ybrew, we used to hang out in Denton, Texas, loved that state.  Welcome to Kappa Performance ybrew from Pearland, Texas!  Wow, you have got a great start on mods, backbone, probeam, and trifecta tune.  Which probeam do you have the red one or the black one?  The red one is the Race Probeam.  As you will find out this forum is all about performance and you have a good start with what you have listed.  Look forward to your next post.

tell us how excited your son was when u got the Sol

My wife really doesn't like the car.  My son - HE LOVES IT.  Get this; I drop him off at school in the mornings.  Since I got the Sol, I can drop him off in FRONT of the school (before I used to drop him off a block away - seriously).

:)

I've got the race backbone, but the black probeam.  I think for my needs, it'll be plenty.

Mod money is running low and probably will for awhile, but I got the main mods I was wanting.  There'll be more, but they may have to wait.
