That wasn't a bad race, unless maybe you are Vettal.

Well this is quite the unusual starting grid.   Finally Verstappen gets a pole.  After last years collision, he is hungry for the win at this track.

The top 10 has a bit of a shakeup from 6-10 as well.  This should be an interesting race, and especially an interesting first lap

It was an exciting race, if you enjoy stupid driving errors from all the regular top finishers.

Some consistent driving from Sainz, Kimi and Gio that rewarded them well, as they avoided all the carnage.  Sainz especially as he started from the back of the pack.

Verstappen drove a great race and even narrowly missed getting taken out by a bad release by Williams.

Gasley has been driving amazing since he was demoted to Toro Rosso.  I believe He is one of F1's future stars.   I am not sure why he did not fit into the Red Bull car, but he is one with the Toro Rosso.  I was super happy to see his result today.

It was nice hearing Hamilton take responsibility for the Albon crash.  Albon, up until that point, drove great again, but he did put himself into a position that gave Hamilton an opening.

Once LeClerc passed Vettel, I knew there was going to be some clash.  I am still surprised that such a light hit caused such damage.  We have seen so many harder wheel on wheel hits.

I loved this race.  Complete mixup of the top 10.  I really hope this was a prelude to next year.

That was something to watch!  Who would have thought so much foolishness could happen in such a short time?

Typical Vettal hot head move, then blame the victim.

Why did Ham even pit?

Wonder what Toto Wolff was thinking watching this one.

I kind of wonder if they hit rim to rim as apposed to tire to tire and there just wasn't any give like a tire would have had.  Vettal's rim looked like it instantly had a major impact to it.

Elff you covered the race perfectly.  Ham was awarded a 5 second penalty giving Saitz 3rd place.

The Ferrari incident is just a racing incident, both drivers want to be on the podium and the luck was not on their side. As has been said when you watch the re runs is such a light touch but with big consequences, go figure, we have seen worse with no issues.
I think as I mentioned a while back Honda is going to be just like with Indy, so MB and Ferrari better get working for next year or they will be left behind. This is the reason Vettel has been looking into Red Bull.
I believe that what we saw yesterday is what the FIA wants to see for 2021, with all the changes coming to the teams.

LV

I sure hope this is what 2021 looks like.   This was awesome.  I was on the edge of my seat and jumped up numerous times.
Such an awesome race.

Did you hurt yourself Dave?  Jumping up and down in your seat is dangerous, it is a long drop to the floor.

He has one of those kiddy seats with the harness so he's good.  Monica learned not to set him too close to the edge of a table or other high surface years ago.

I seem to find the coffee table with my shins far too often.  That piece of furniture has to be the invention of pure evil.
