Vince didn't originally have the no lift shift feature in his tunes, but did start including them on request.  The base tune can be anything you happen to have and that you default to when his tune is switched off - it doesn't matter to him, although IIRC he would need to know which sensors you had.

Not sure why you ever turn your Trifecta tune off.  By all accounts you slightly improve fuel mileage when using it and there is no benefit in terms of fuel or durability in not simply using the Trifecta tune all the time.

Not trying to call you out Bob, but I'm not here often.. and I'm going through somewhat old threads, sorry.

For the record, I have a Trifecta tune, and my base tune in the GMPP tune.  I drive daily on the GMPP tune, and use the Trifecta for autocross.  When autocrossing I have access to the No Lift Shift, which is only there due to the GMPP tune.  So... not everything gets removed.

Also, I've had zero issues with my GMPP tune, and it's not like I'm easy on the poor car.  I haul a fairly heavy 4'x8' trailer with the car from event to event, all while driving on the GMPP tune.  63,000+ miles on her so far...

That's good news.

You turn it off when you go to the dealership for work so that they don't know you have a tune and it doesn't void your warranty.

I turn my Trifecta tune off when I daily drive because it's activated by the Traction Control.  So, to use the tune, I have to put it in at least Competitive Mode (or ESC off).  In competitive mode, with street tires, I can spin the tires through 1st, and 2nd, and squeal them into 3rd.  If it rains, I have a hard time keeping the rear end behind the front tires.

I'm not concerned about fuel economy... I'm running some sort of gas/E85 mix already, so  I've given up fuel mileage right there.  I just don't feel it's smart to have the level of power I have under the tune on the street with street tires.  I can enjoy the car with the GMPP tune on the street just fine.  To each their own... no judgement from me.

Let us know how she runs! I can't decide on a Trifecta tune or bigger turbo.

If you get a bigger turbo, It's not an option, you need to be re-tuned.
Just a matter of who you use.

Absolutely. And you also give away some of the low down flexibility as a trade for more power at top end. That sort of trade always sounds like it is worthwhile, but you really have to examine how you will drive it to assess the prospect properly.

rlhammon - if you had Trifecta reset your tune to operate on something else (I think the usual is the cruise control) you could have the benefit of slightly better mileage along with having the power alwasy accessible without having to hit switches.

There is no problem with having the power always on hand - it is the driver that has to be able to deal with it.  I've had cars that would burn rubber through into 3rd gear, but I never got in trouble with them inadvertently - because you are always aware of having it there.

Depends on the turbo
According to HP Tuners, my 2871 is spooling 100rpms faster than the K04 and is pushing 45lbs/min of air up top.

I'm loving it!!

Elffs car is white.  That's the main difference in airflow.  Look a Kelu's car.  It's black and he only can push about 23lbs / min.  Silver is in between.  Further evidence is Sky888, his car is red and even with two turbos he can't push any air at all.  That's why I bought blue.  Air is blue, so it moves like crazy.  I'm on the stock turbo and pushing 38 lbs.

Simple color dynamics really.

I would make sure it's a shade that prevents you from having any issue with garage door frames.

That frame just jumped out and bit me.

Shade of blue has a dramatic effect. Make sure you match the wind in your home location for best results

Kelu, my MAF is definitely not scrabbled.  It's a result of the paint color.

Brazen,
Don't forget the fluid to change in your headlights!

Seeing as I just went of 60k I better do it soon. Do they make that in a high performance ultra clear synthetic? I've never been happy with the conventional stuff.
