I am about 90% certain I am going to Iowa that weekend. Just not sure if I will fly or drive.
Do you need the Starved Rock Run info for roads or do you have something??
I'm jealous as all that you're going to Hanks Farm in Ottawa! Never been there! Hmmm...Hmmm....
Lunch on the Veranda at Starved Rock...

Hey, I finally looked up the Starved Rock run route.
This one started in Utica/Starved Rock. You'll want to reverse it.
I'd cut out Illini State Park and there is a loop by Seneca that you don't need to do...not worth it. I'll give the the roads to cut after I look at Google Maps.
Rt 178 South through Utica
Left into Starved Rock - Possible stop
Left onto Rt 71 East
Right onto Rt 23 (State St in Ottawa)
Left onto E McKinley Road
Left onto E 2350th Road
Right into Illini State Park
Quick left to head back under the bridge
Illini State Park Loop
Left back through the park - Bathroom break at the Snack Stand if necessary
Right onto E 2425th Road at The Trading Post
Left onto 2553rd Road
Straight across 170 onto Dupont Road
Through the twisties and turn around at the Park Bench. (or before in the middle of the road cause that was really muddy and torn up today)
Left onto Kinsman Road
Right onto W Indian Trail Road
Right onto E 30th Road
Left onto Dupont Road
Right onto 170 into Seneca
Right onto E Union St (becomes Old Stage Road)
Over the Rainbow Bridge!
Left onto Saratoga Road
Right onto Rt 6
Right onto Rt 47
Right onto Armstrong Street (becomes Cemetary Road)
Past the 1st Cemetary
Veer left onto E Hansel Road
Past the Pumpkin Patch! Dollinger Farms
Past the 2nd Cemetary at the edge of the Pumpkin Patch!
Left onto N. Ridge Road
-
You can Skip the Dupont Road loop off of 170 just after you pass through Seneca. There are some nice twisties in there, but it's probably not worth your time.
-
thanks ihawk95!

Lets get some RSVPs in!!!

No problem...Skip Illini State Park also if you'd like. When I drove through it last year, you really had to watch for the pot holes. You only go through it, turn around at the dam, then come back.
The drive to Starved Rock on 71 is the part you really want obviously. You'll climb the hill which is good fun! If you want, go past the entrance to Starved Rock off of Rt 71. Go to the stop sign and turn right towards Utica. After Grand Bear Lodge (about 1/2 mile or so to your left) and just before the bridge across the river, there will be another entrance into Staved Rock on the right hand side. It will be part way down the hill and it's really easy to go past it. That will take you through the twisties to Starved Rock Lodge. You won't be able to go fast through them if it's busy, but the scenery of the park is beautiful!

Oh ok, I thought you guys are using that engine for a one of a kind transplant for the sky! :) plus lots of aftermarket support with that engine, so easier to get lots of hp.
So where is the engine of that sky?
Still LNF?
Inducted V8? :)
Top secret? :p
-
Those subaru engines are so crazy looking.
-
Those subaru engines are so crazy looking.
and they have the best sounding 4 cylinder engines out there! Way better than the LNF!
It sounds like a 6 cylinder
-
It appears the black kappa on jack stands has no windshield and the surround looks bent

Joe, the door and mirror is all bent also .
