Don't use a scrub brush to wash your car
« on: June 09, 2014, 08:43:02 PM »
My grandson, you can see a picture of him in my avatar, is three and a half now and wants to help with everything. The other day he was over with my son Chris and daughter in law Megan and the Solstice was in the garage.

We were outside and we didn't see my grandson for less than a minute and when we did he was "washing" grandpa's car. He'd found a hard scrub brush in the garage and was rubbing it on the left rear quarter. Seems he was at the right front corner cleaning things up before we saw him at the back of the car.

My son told himself shouldn't be doing that to grandpa's car and took the brush away from him. I reminded Chris that when he was young he "helped" dad clean the ice and snow off my old '88 Bonneville with an ice scraper and not off the windows either.

Kids will be kids and you gotta love 'em when they want to help out.

The scratches from the scrub brush buffed right out.    :buff:

It's time to teach him how to clean the car the right way Bob.

Shame on you Bob, you should put your things way and not leave them laying around!

I had a similar experience Saturday but on Diana`s car. My grandson plopped a magnetic light right on the drivers door before we could stop him.

I remember my nephew taking a hammer and hitting my brother's car. He was helping to "fix it". Luckily it was an old beater.

Would you even have noticed if you didn't see him do it?

Yes. This is my first time on the forum since the last time I was on the forum. I don't know nothing.
