I don't know, am I supposed to be impressed?  I mean he added a V8 capable of making big horse power and guess what it does.

We really like to use the 17% drive line lost as oppose to the others. This will still give you 739 BHP.

Ferrari would be envious on Kappa/LSx if it would have only 17% loss

Sorry Kelu you are correct, I was thinking of the K04 values and not the V8 power plant, my bad.
The math for our GXP at factory 260 x .83 "17%" = 215 WHP

215WHP is declared official value of the stock car?

Yes, that was the consensus after we did 25 cars at a dyno day back in 2008.

And nobody knows details about calibration of that dyno, could be very low or very high.

What I trying to repeat here is that dynos, especially the normal ones used by open public, show is just a number, not an absolute value and they need to be consistent and only the delta is useful as an absolute value considering before and after values. Dyno is just a tool.

PS: As far as I know the most optimized setup for the less loss are central engine - rear wheel cars with very short axles, Ferrari using one of the finest materials, shortest and most optimized transmissions was around 12-13% loss if I remember correctly an official statement. So Kappas/LS family cars with their long axles, over 10 years old diffs, their pickup trannys would be a dream to have only 17-18%, but that's only my opinion.

Kelu, my numbers are for the GXP 4 cylinder turbo with an SAE of 260 BHP and not Kappa V8's.
Of the 25 GXP's done that day 20 of them showed the 215 value. The other 5 range as low as 209 and as high as 220.
So a GXP turbo 4 cylinder is viewed as having an average of 215 WHP or 17% drive line loss from the factory 260 SAE certified number.

This thread has turned dumb.

OP- please post some pics of the car show for viewing pleasure. Enough of this nonsense. Unless someone pulls an engine and dynos the engine, then the complete car, stop guessing.
The CTS-V engine is 556 from the factory. Any tuner worth their salt can get 650 out if it with a few key strokes. A built version putting out 700 is no big leap.
I'm sure it's fun as hell to drive, but I'll pass. I'm waiting for DDM to work out the details on my diesel Twin turbo Sky.

This thread has turned dumb.

Why?  Because it's talking that car nonsense again?

That's just silly. I'm much nicer to women than that. I would have kicked out my passengers. And given her a ride on my boat.
