The New Guy
« on: August 26, 2014, 09:24:10 AM »
Hi there.  Found this forum while searching for info on the Sky and Solstice. My dad bought an 07 Sky and I was hooked.  After some good reading, decided I liked them both - so I got both.  New owner of a 2008 Sky Red Line and 2007 Solstice GXP.  Love the heck out'a both cars.  I haven't had this much fun since my 88 Fiero GT!

The GXP is going to be my project car and I have already had the GMPP Stage 2 tune done.  Suspension is next and then prettying up the engine bay with new charge pipes.  Thanks to the folks here for your awesome insight.  This site, and one more, was a wealth of knowledge when trying to decide what I wanted.  My only hope is that enough vendors keep making killer upgrade parts for these sweet cars.

To his defense, it is not a requirement to display a picture of a newbie's Kappa in the introduction thread. However, I belong to another car forum which would take away a new membership if introduction thread doesn't contain the new member's vehicle.

You good sir are what we call an addict
but this drug is well worth it

Give DDM a call and tell them to use Critterman's cc.  It's what pays for the rest of our mods
But, before you are eligible to do that, you are required to buy all LSM's their beer or liquor of choice

It's like the scam from Nigeria but better

Welcome ! As for your comment about vendors and parts for our cars just remember that the Solstice is a combination of a few GM cars so that performance parts and upgrades  for pretty much any car with an  Ecotec engine will work  I have had a lot of success on the Cobalt and HHR forums .

Yeah, for some reason unbeknownst to me, most folks do the "WOW" thingy when they see the Sky over the Solstice.     That's OK as I love them both.  But it's the GXP that's going to get the treatment and be ma go fast sleeper go-cart.  My own redition of Beauty and the Beast.   :D

On the Facebook link ( Saturn Sky/ Opel GT/ Solstice Owners Group). Someone posted which was better and why. It was put together this way, The Solstice is the Feminine, and the Sky was Masculine. Also the Solstice was the old style late fifties and early sixties design, soft lines, rounded fenders, like the old Porsche Spyder, AC Cobra, AND Ferrari GTO, whereas the Sky was the newer, edgier designs like the, Corvette, Lamborghini Veneno, and Ferrari FXX and the like. It all depended on taste. Male = Strength, Power, Female = Beauty, Sexy. But as with any female don't cross her because she has a mean side too! :drive:
like I said it's all a matter of taste. I like both for the design differences. But always had a thing for the old style. :)

I see that counting is a high math for you ... math should be more than counting, but probably is just the European Math

Let me help you out with that Daewoo Kappa goodness thingy: http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/GM-DAEWOO-G2X-2008-used-car_106858591.html  They will even ship it straight to your door!

But for the record, I haven't seen an Opel GT either, so I guess they don't exist?  That kinda takes your "three" back down to "two".  See, I can count!!   :yay:  And I'm not out to bury anyone - just set the record straight.  :D  Again, love those Asian girls.

So to understand European Romanian Math you need to get high, I guess that would make sense.
