Another new guy
« on: December 11, 2014, 12:51:27 AM »
Hello,
I've just registered after reading this forum for months. I'm just an old guy with a great little car. This forum is full of great information and I enjoy checking out the mods. I mostly just keep mine clean, waxed, and maintained. I've put it up for the winter now, so I'll be counting the days until the dogwoods bloom. Driving this car is one sweet way to enjoy the Ozarks. I just did a brake upgrade so I may mod a little.

Welcome, nice clean ride.  FIY, it's against forum rules to stop at just one mod. ;)

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I actually did another "mod" while doing the brakes. Since I had the wheels off, I thought I should clean the backs up a little. There were some tar spots and some leftover wheel weight glue on them. Being kinda shadetree, I put a little gas on a rag and went after it. Turns out gas will take the paint off the back off the wheel. Not a bad thing. I stayed at it and this was the result.

Do you suppose that is why he keeps taking all these overseas assignments?

Yeap chrome on the back as well once you clean the finish off of them.   You might want to clearcoat them so that the stay like that
