The DDMWorks Solstice GXP and Sky Redline street intercooler upgrade is the best performing intercooler for the price available on the market. This is a true bolt on upgrade with a large bar and plate core that measures 27" wide x 3.25" thick and 8" tall and supports up to 675HP. Even with the larger core, this intercooler bolts into the stock brackets and has mandrel bent 2.5" inlet and outlet tubing for optimal air flow that matches to stock or aftermarket charge tubes.
When you create boost pressure with a turbo, heat is also created and heat is the enemy of power and performance. With the stock intercooler in place the extra heat generated from a tune can push the stock intercooler beyond its effectiveness, reducing power and creating a higher potential for detonation. Thiis intercooler is designed to combat that heat by proving a larger cooling surface than stock which greatly improves heat dissipation on the track or hard driven on the street. We also choose a slightly thinner core than some other aftermarket intercoolers for this intercooler. As the thickness of the intercooler increased, the outside air from the front of the car actually starts to decrease because of the higher resistance of flow. So by actually making the intercooler a little bit thinner but increasing the surface area we actually decrease the temperature more than a thicker core.
