NormsFiberglass New Reccesed front Solstice grill
« on: March 21, 2017, 11:06:23 PM »
Hello, OK I'm going to give this a try. I'm tired of this never coming to market and you're :censor: ing about it. If I make these and you guys don't step up then we know why! LOL. I'm going to do make these a little bit different and re-use you're current grille while I supply the frames. Seems simple to me, lets see how it goes. I will post pics as the progress continues. Thanks again Norm

Are the stock grills too big to be used like that? I know one thing, if this works out, I want a set! Anxious to see how it turns out.

I'm really unclear on how you'd reuse the existing grille, it's larger than the opening your frame sits inside.

Doesn't really matter for me, this looks like it'd interfere with my air intake.

Hmmm, if the grill was to install at the back of the tunnel and as such you weren't able to see the entire OEM grill, that would work....

i'm excited all ready!

Won't the opening look unfinished, then? I guess we gotta see the finished product.

Solstice peeps better break out the wallets!!!!

FYI

The ones I had drawn up would cost around $850 each to have 3D printed in an ABS material.  I don't think many of you would have been interested in them at that price.

Hello, just an update. Were working on getting the inside side to side the same accounting for material thickness. The outer flange will be done last. Well see how this works together.

Are the GXP and NA grills the exact copies of each other?
