Vertical Doors Group Buy at DDMWorks - Part 2

*** We can not post the pricing as it was too low to advertise Give us a call or PM us for the status of the group buy and what the current price is at. ***

Well Lilgoat keeps bugging us about running another group buy on these since he has been waiting on ordering a set until we ran another group buy, so to make him happy we are starting a second Group buy for Vertical Doors from VDI. Although we usually focus on performance mods we decided to pick up the line after seeing the quality of the kit. So if you have been thinking about getting some for your Solstice or Sky, here is your chance at the best deal on them. These are not the kits sold on Ebay, and will ship directly from VDI so that you know if you have any problems with them we will be there to service them.

So here is the Breakdown:

Full Retail - $1895

Our normal price $1299

For the group buy we are going to offer the following

This group buy starts at 4 kits and we will go from there:

4-5 sets sold - Big Savings
6-7 sets sold - Really Big Savings
8 or more sets - Really Crazy big savings

VDI has offered us a really good deal because of how well the last group buy went and if we can get this together they will be there in time for the upcoming Maryland Mod meet This offer is going to extend through the weekend and will end next Monday at Midnight. To place your order, just give us a call at 864-907-6004 or send us an email at sales@ddmworks.com and we will get you on the list. You can also place your order through the website and we will adjust the price once the group buy is over. Once the group buy ends they are quoting us 2-3 weeks to ship. They may be able to get some of the kits ready for the Maryland Mod meet, but we can not guarantee that they will be there in time, just that we will do everything we can to get them there. I am going to stress this again, we have no control over the time it takes VDI to get these made and it may take longer, if you must have them right now, please do not order them in this group buy. However this is going to be a great deal for the doors.

PM me for details of the group buy.

Thanks,
Dave

If you have any questions, let us know.

WOW Davey even though you explained it very clearly can I get mine custom engraved and get them in the next 2 or 3 days, I am really hard on door hinges and so I am placing the burden on you for my problem, and if you don't get them to me in the next 2 or 3 days with my custom engraving I will post bad things about you in your own section of the forum because I have no understanding of forum etiquette.

It only takes 3 hours if you know what you are doing.  If you take this to a custom shop that has never done it before, be prepaired to leave it overnight.  They will run into a lot of speed bumps.

Joe is well practiced at this point, hense the 3 hours.  The first one he did took about 12 all together.  He worked out most of the speedbumps on that one...

$300 to install and that is usually a team of 4 people (who know what they're doing to complete it in 3 hours)  Most shops want 700-1000 to install.

If you want in on the group buy, you start by paying the regular price and at the end of the buy, the number of people who have purchased determine the refund.  This way you are not waiting for months to get a product.

Ok, I'm probably going to be flamed for these questions, (especially since I've seen several folks with the doors on several occasions) should have taken the opportunity to test them out, look at them closely, done my homework & gotten all my questions answered then:   :banghead:

How difficult/hard to open & up swing the doors?
Are they heavy or easy to manage?
Any maintance issues?

Concerned about the installation process:
How much "modification" needs to be done prior to installation (since the range is 3-13 hours, I'm assuming there needs to be some done)
Are there instructions or will some kind "sol(s)"  :poke: in the immediate area with knowledge on installation assist with the process (not sure just Hubby & I can do this, by ourselves & not real keen on letting "just" anyone do this in Virginia & yes, I do know the difference between box end wrench, screwdriver & sawsall  )

Okay, that's all I can think of at the moment.
Thanks

Okay, did some more homework & found the DYI: in Joe's garage   :banghead:

Thanks DBG for the thread:
How to: Install Lambo Door Hinges
http://kappaperformance.com/forum/index.php?topic=31.msg119#msg119

However, I don't think we're quite ready to do this project by ourselves,
Haven't found the video of opening/closing the doors, but I'll keep looking  :idk:

Is there a website that sells our OEM colors.
I'd like to get the exact white I have.

Go to your local auto paint supplier and give them the paint code if your car is still stock, paint codes are on this forum some place do a search.  If your car is no longer a stock color take your car over to the paint place and have them color scan it.  They should not have any problems mixing whatever color you need.  This way you won't have to pay a hazmat fee to have something shipped to you.
