Solstice AND Sky make podium at Road Atlanta
« on: May 10, 2009, 08:39:10 PM »
Chris Forsberg took first in his V-8 powered 350Z, he had to beat Ryan Tuerck in the Gardella Solstice and Darren McNamara in the V-8 powered Sears Sky to do it, McNamara took second and Tuerck was third, this is two podium finishes in a row for the Solstice, next it comes to New Jersey to the refurbished Wall Speedway once again! Lets go Kappa's! Rhys Millen now in a Hyundai, did not make the top 8.

Yup, Formula D. I really want to make it to the Gauntlet in Jersey but, I have reserve drill that weekend. Giving the proximity to E-town maybe I can sneak off McGuire for a few hours to check it out!
Keep Chopping!!!

Yes it's Drifting and the event has been moved back the Wall speedway, not sure why. This was a wild event unlike any other last time they were there, very short track, basically a short oval, they do a cross over in the middle.

What became of Rhys's Drift Solstice now that he has the Hyundai?

I know where the engine is, or at least one of them. I don't know where the Solstice is, the GTO is Drifting in Canada and being driven by a lady Drifter, I hear she is doing quite well. I will see Rhys in NJ next month I will ask him about the Solstice, going to be a short track oval in NJ outcome most likely will be very different, Rhys is VERY good on the short tracks, he took second last time he was there, only lost because of an equipment failure in the last run.

Lat year I saw DMAC do a perfect 10 at E-town it was awesome, unfortunately he was going against my buddy Dai, he spun out on the next run and lost. I met Ryan in Atlanta last year and we have stayed in touch he is such a country boy, a very nice guy.

The solstice is being driven by a Vermont Teddy bear with a tattoo of Mom

Ryan is pretty cool and one hell of a driver.
DMAC always seems to be on the edge, but just doesn't quite get there.
I hope this podium is a start to a great season for him
