Just called for an update, they said they need to order me a new piston but there's none in the whole country in stock. So they said once they find one they are hoping to get the engine working.

Lol a Malibu LS. It was either a base HHR or a base Malibu basically. Since those were the only GM cars Enterprise had.

Started a case # with Pontiac now since the car has been at the dealer for over 30+ days. I also submitted some info to those Lemon Law websites and a few emailed me back asking for a fax of my sales contract and repair order. So it may seem that I might have a case for a Lemon Law vehicle in California since its taking them over 30days to fix it. But I hope Pontiac just responds and I can go through with it without getting lawyers involved.

Good luck with that.   All previous issues go away with the bankruptcy

A few lawyers called me yesterday about the Lemon Law case and I asked one of them if there still getting paid even though GM is going through bankruptcy and he said they are. The only issue they had was with Chrysler that had shutdown the payments for about a month but now they reopened them. One of the lawyers thinks I have a strong case and I might get one of 3 options out of it. Option 1 would be that GM buys my vehicle for whatever I paid minus the miles I put on it. Option 2 would be to give me a comparable vehicle which would be hard since I bought mine used with 7k miles. And Option 3 would be GM might just say heres 5k for your troubles but we will still fix your car.

Pontiac actually called me today and said they spoke with the dealership and dealer told them it would be ready on Monday. Which I sort of doubt since its been 30+ days. But the Pontiac rep said she escalated my issue to a district specialist that will call me in a few days to see if I can get any compensation for my troubles.

I talked to one of the lemon law lawyers about it and they said if they offer me something to make sure its out of good will and that I am not signing something because if I sign something then that means I am waiving my rights to sue them or do a lemon law claim all for an extended warranty or whatever they offer.

Finally got my car back after the 50 or so days lol. I am still dealing with the Lemon Law Claim unless GM steps up on Monday and just offers it to me by themselves without lawyers. I heard though that a tech that worked at the dealer for 15years got fired because he messed up on my car.
