« on: June 11, 2009, 01:42:59 PM »
Hello I finally pulled and fitted the first one today, its been raining hard today and there are some water droplets on the part. Hope you like them. The rear dual outside diffusser comes ready to paint and retails for $349.95 as all our diffusser facias. Thanks Norm 574-255-7843

I can't see the pics here at work, I'll have to wait and check them out when I get home. Can't wait to see them though! The Solstice ones are great.

EDIT: At home, saw the pics. Nice work! Really makes those hideous tail lights stand our though...something has GOT to be done about those things...

Looks great.  After seeing the mold in the background of the hood pics, I was betting we'd see this soon.

Hello and thankyou We only charge $29.95 to the lower 48 states. CF is nice but true CF is very expensuve as most products out there are cosmetic with a single layer on top with regular glass underneath. I get a very nice peice in fiberglass at reasonable price that I havent increased in three years for facis that can be color matched to your car. Thanks again Norm 574-255-7843

Hello Im not sure to be honest, as Im not set up for it. I will look into where I can get some 2x2 twill and at what cost I can do it for. You got to remember the diffusser slats are deep and have a large draw area which needs to be streached over. Cosmetic CF does not always like that. It will take some trial and error. Thanks Norm

The remaining question would be
Body Color match the paint
or
Black

Hmmmmmm

That came out nice.

Sorry, when Helios said that the pictures didn't work I assumed that he meant the pictures in the thread that Spiky linked to. I wasn't aware that the pictures in the post that opened this thread were broken.

I have fixed the pictures that Norm posted nearly a year ago here. All the pictures that were hosted on KP were corrupted when the site was moved to a new server a short while ago.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Sly,
You have no need to appologize!  I read it that was at first too!  That's why I edited my post.

By the way, did you ever get your stereo all patched up?

Not yet but thanks for asking. I have the new steering wheel interface that Crutchfield shipped me to replace the defective one but I haven't had the opportunity to look at it yet. It all works great with the exception of the steering wheel controls and realistically, with the voice activation the Kenwood has, I don't really NEED them. It just bugs me that they aren't working.

I hope to get to it for an hour or so tonight after I visit with NavyKnight for a bit. He is driving to my place from Toronto to get his Solstice book.

Bought an iPod touch to hook up to the stereo iPod cable when I was in New York. I've been filling 'er up with tunes since and I may never have to listen to the radio again.

I still plan on writing a review when I get everything as it should be. Just might take me a little while.   ;)

Now back on topic... The diffuser fascia is sweet. I love the one that Norm make for my Solstice and the Sky version looks just as good. Had I bought a Sky I'd have been all over this.

possible "dumb question" alert!!

Other than the fact that the stock Sky exhaust is dual tip, is there any other difference between the rear facia?  Would the Sky facia just bolt right up to a Solstice? The back up light could be worked out easily I would imagine. I like the look of the Sky exhaust and might consider doing those tips with this Diffuser...

What I really like is the look of the newer Corvettes, dual tips that are closer to center (about 1/3rd in on each side I think) or the new Lambo exhaust with three tips in a triangle out the center, but thats just dreaming.

The sky rear bumper is edge where the fascia and bumper align is a different shape than the solstice.  Norm and Solo did an exhaust like the vet as a one off.  I saw it DDM Works shop last year.  It just didn't look right on the solstice.

I'd love to see something like a Corvette-style setup on a Sky. Trouble is you'd have to re-work the backup light, but honestly that's something that would be nice, the stock light doesn't do a whole lot mounted in the center like it is...
