I know nothing about these but supposedly the work well on the V-8's
Powr-Flo Mass Air Sensor
Part #: 69125

The JET Powr-Flo Mass Air Sensor delivers improved horsepower, torque and mileage from your car, truck or SUV by simply replacing the restrictive stock mass air sensor. The factory sensor not only is a major restrictive point in stock intake systems, but it also limits the full potential of aftermarket cold air intake systems. The flow bench tested design of the JET Mass Air Sensor provides airflow increases of up to 45% and installs in 10 minutes or less. Compatible with other aftermarket upgrades such as computer upgrades, cold air intakes, TBI spacers, free flow exhaust systems, etc.

That may well be but we won't know until Ben tries one for the team.  :poke:

Whats so restrictive about our maf sensor? I wouldn't spend $10 for this, its useless on our cars.

Ben...that car is really nice...did you design that yourself?  Looks like a mix between a few different cars, but it also looks aerodynamically sound.

That paint looks SWEET, Ben!

... as for the MAF, I agree w/ Duck and Shabby.  Besides, any product that claims "up to 45% increase in airflow" smacks of bull :censor: (unless it's a turbo or supercharger)

As soon as I can find the time to tote them down to you.

The replacement part has become a story I need to tell you off line.

I will PM you later. . .

Yamatr3 has it right.  It is a Factory Five Racing Type 65 Daytona Coupe.  Purpose built as a street legal track time trialer and long circuit autocrosser, to be driven to and from the events, not trailered.

It has been a plus two year project, with no attention to detail spared and a simple, but rigid design creed:  Form follows function, and functional is beautiful.  I have been fortunate to have the benefit of some extremely talented friends in our local Cobra club in bringing this to fruition  The guys who engineered and built what you see are among the fastest Cobra racers on the East Coast.

This car is a tribute to the original 6 1965 Shelby Daytonas, but actually superior to the originals in almost every way.  Way better suspension.  More rigid frame.  Way more horsepower and torque. Way better brakes.

She comes home this week, and autox debut is the 18th.  Rumor has it that some NAK3D members will be there to bear witness.

But I should stop hijacking this thread. . . .

I knew that it was a FF, and that underneath it was modern components... No offense to you Ben, but I just couldn't believe Spiky thought this was an all new design by you...  :(

For the record, I've got that Factory Five 34 Coupe in the back of my head as a project... Now, if only they did a 50 Ford pickup, it'd be the perfect project for Bosch...

Stay away from "aftermarket" MAF's.  They are nothing more than stock MAF's that have had their screens and airfoils removed.  Sure they flow more, but you have to ask yourself: a MAF with the foil and screen is more expensive to produce than one without, so why do it?

The screen is not a debris screen, it is there to straighten the air before it goes over the sensors in the MAF.  Same with the air foil.  Plus, you will have to tune ON THE DYNO for the new MAF, since its factory calibration will have been destroyed by JET or whoever.  If you really need a bigger MAF, the answer is, find a bigger MAF.  Use a corvette MAF.

I had a look at this MAF sensor from Jet for the Solstice GXP.  It is identical to the OEM sensor since it is the OEM sensor with the serial numbers scratched off (and not very well at that).
