Buying: Stock BOV Spring
« on: September 18, 2009, 06:01:29 PM »
Yeah I know....stock BOV spring, wtf?

I currently have the Dejon BOV spring and i'm looking for a stock BOV spring so I can see if that's what's causing problems or if it makes my car run smoother/worse. My Zip Code is 90605. If you have one then please let me know how much you'll sell it for with shipping included.

Or if you happen to know where I can get one locally please let me know, but i guess I rather buy one off of someone so that I know it's the exact same spring.

Thanks :)

Well that's the obvious but I dont want them thinking im messing around with an aftermarket spring.

Just seeing if anyone with the Dejon spring still has their stock spring and if they will sell it to me :)

Honestly, that would be the same as not buying OEM spark plugs for fear that they assume you are running nitro !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look, most of these places can't figure out how to LIFT a Kappa !!!!!!!!!!! You think they will associate a spring with a mod? You are giving them WAY too much credit.

if you are afraid to order from the dealership you use, just have a friend order it for you. anyone can order a part. i went back to the stock spring. and with the new westers beta tune, i spike to 23(thats how high my sensors go) and drops to 21 wot in 4th(650 ft above sea level) with my larger intercooler. those pressures are similar to LG's(i think) and i think he has the dejon spring(i think??). So i don't see the need for it......my one caveat is if i could read the actual max boost, "maybe" i am bleeding off of what ever the true mac boost is?????? If trifecta can boost to 30 pounds without mandating a stiffer spring(haven't seen that topic touched on their tune here yet), i don't see why there is a need to swithc it out.....my problem is lag between shifts because i shift too slow and the stock spring for me seems to spool faster between shifts with my manual trans....auto trans is different becuase it shifts quicker than the average man...................didn't mean to hi jack.......i don't have a stock spring to give/sell/borrow.....hope your fix is as easy as that.

you may not find it as a part number because gm looks at the turbo wastgate and rbv as ONE unit??????? you may need to reach out to the turbo manufacturer directly???? :idk:

I see i see.  Well i guess i'll just stay patient and wait for someone out there that will sell me theirs.

Dont really isnt too much of a rush I guess, I just wanted to see if I saw any difference between the two.

Waiting patiently :)
