New Dejon IC Pipes - Do I need a retune with Westers?
« on: September 25, 2009, 10:29:13 AM »
OK.. I think I know the answer but I'll ask, when I get the IC Pipes from DEjon (40% more intake)... do I need to get a new tune from Lyndon for this? I have the stock air box with a K&N drop in filter and he told me I didn't need a re-tune for that. But what about the IC Pipes....

AND I assume I'll need a re-tune for the Dejon intercooler?

I'll probably get everything, but it depends on available cash so I may do it one step at a time. May even keep the stock intercooler. I'm not racing this puppy. It's just my weekend ride. But I like mods and wrenching on the weekends.

I have Dejon IC and stock pipes, no update need it when I replaced the IC and I presume is same about pipes.

If you want to have a clear answer fire an email to Lyndon.

You do not need a retune for an appearance upgrade, the IC pipes don't do squat but look pretty. There is no change needed for the intercooler either, it only effects charge density and temperature in a positive way that the ECM will automatically adjust for. If you get the Dejon intake you may want to let Lyndon know as it does improve airflow over the stock box.

OK... sounds good. I'm only getting the pipes for "pretty" factor anyway... but I'm still on the fence about the intercooler.

I powder coated mine and painted Deedle's   Paint is holding up.  I still have the stock IC also.
