JPM Updated Interior from MM6 (with Pictures)
« on: October 13, 2009, 09:28:14 PM »
At MM6, Joe and Alex from JPM worked their magic on my interior.  They updated a lot of the older pieces with new ideas.  After much collaboration between myself and the JPM boys, here are some night shots of what they did.  I will take some more pictures in the light, but I wanted to get some up tonight.  I can't tell you how amazed I am at what they can do.

Steering Wheel Airbag

Passenger Airbag

Dash Boomerang

E-Brake and Center Console

Shift Boot (Automatic)

Waterfall

Well, since there are no pictures of Steve inside the car, it must be the 10 lbs of keys hanging from the lock cylinder.

Tell me, tell me

If I see what Kelu sees, it looks like the trim ring around the shift boot is damaged.  It may just be a reflection, but it looks to be crimped on the drives side?

I think it is stunning!  Thanks for adding the second set of pics as I was trying to figure out the boomerang.  Did they put leather on the whole waterfall?  Even the cup holder face?  Did you cover the painted part of the waterfall or just up to it?  EDIT: Just saw the last pic with painted area showing... sorry.

JPM- how does it affect airbag deployment?  My guess is that it doesn't or you wouldn't do it, but I though I would ask...

Wow.  I thought the first thing I would do was a tune... now I am not so sure...

No damage there...just a reflection...the whole waterfall is covered until it gets behind the seats...and the cup holder is covered also.

Yes Rogue, the ugly key fob ruins the interior
Steve should I tell you how I fixed this?

P.S. everything was too nice in that interior, I just wanted to "ruin" it just a bit   I'm sure Steve was wondering what else has to make on that gorgeous interior to be flawless :p

The Alcantara is perforated along the break lines of the airbag.  Makes for an easy tear when it comes time for the airbag to deply

Does that meet all the "big brother" requirements?  I only ask because I live in CA and EVERYTHING here gets scrutinized.  It's not that I worry about it when I own it, but IF I ever sell and something goes wrong... well you know the rest

Well, it's not something I do for everybody.  Just close friends.  Not sure what Cali regulations have to say about it.
