How bad is this turbo oil-return, really?

(Image removed from quote.)

(Image removed from quote.)

That's what they sent but I really don't think that angle is optimal.  Anyone else using the oil-drain as a return location?
Every time that I've seen a recommendation for a turbo oil drain, they all say that it should drain back to the crankcase ABOVE the oil level.  I'm pretty sure it is in Garret's website recommendations.   :sorry:

and I am not sure about your roads, but here in PA, that location wouldn't hold up for long.
It would get ripped off on one of the first potholes.
If you can imagine it, our roads got even worse this winter.

I ordered a ZOK rear swaybar
DDM EXTREME backbone
Energy suspension Bushings.

Prepping the car for the Dragon and additional Power It will be getting at SMMM

Elff, if you haven't done the Dragon before, make you first run a cautious one as the Dragon can be nasty. Also watch out for those idiots on crotch rockets.

He'll be fine.

3D and no whiskey in a Mack 18 speed diesel showed me some PA hills in the snow this winter.
Dragon got nothing on NC 197 though, but a bunch of curves in a few miles.

We're mapping the movie set in and around Asheville NC not Ashville TN  :gaah:

Yep, and don't forget about Johnny Law, he likes to suprise you arround the next corner. Best time to go is during the week and avoid the weekends... less squids, zip-n-splats & lawdogs.

Yeah, purely intuitively and not letting any true knowledge get in the way, but I'd agree with that.  The oil in the reservoir would basically cut off - or at least restrict - the vapor flow back. I know there's positive pressure there, but is it enough to easily force bubbles through the pool of oil from the bottom?

Yeah, those recommendations are why I was asking.  This hose-kit is from Werks and I just couldn't figure out another way of connecting everything.

Oh well :)  Thanks.

That movie was made in my area. I was living 20 miles from Asheville, NC when it was filmed. I knew several bootleggers. They all had several cars and swapped them around. If you saw the movie he swapped cars several times. One guy I knew had his car impounded a couple times. When thought they would catch him he would jump out and run then report his car stolen. He would buy it back at the Sheriffs auction, everyone knew it was his and wouldn't bid against him. All the guys I knew carried the shine in Jars in their trunk, not in a tank.
Good moonshine is the best drinking whiskey there is. If anyone wants I can bring a quart to the meet.

Several of the scenes were in Asheville. The bar where is girlfriend sang was down close to the French Broad River. I can't remember the name of it. The a lot of the road scenes were in Transylvania county. The guy Mitchum shut in the bar while she was singing was an obnoxious TV personality on Channel 13 in Asheville. All the locals who saw the movie cheered.

I fought a ticket today (obtained in my grand caravan loser cruiser, not in the GXP)... the police officer lied under oath and I lost my argument for defence. GRRR.... next time I'm recording the conversation and officers. I'm really bummed that a cop would just lie, I mean it's no skin off his back if I get off on the ticket. He suggested I plead it down with the prosecutor in the first place too.

Recording an officer may not be legal. I would check before you do it.
