DDM superchargers
« on: December 17, 2009, 04:22:18 PM »
As you all know from Welcome/Introductions I'm interested in the DDM Works supercharger for my 09 coupe NA. But what I didn't post is that it is an automatic trans.. I know critterman recently supercharged his ride but I think his is 5 speed. Has anyone supercharged an automatic? I'm curious to know how well it works with an automatic because the factory shift points suck & on the NA the controll module is inside the trans. as I understand.

Ask the guys at DDMWorks to give you a referral to some of the customers who have had their autos supercharged. I know they've done several autos and the customers are very happy with them.

Yes, we have done many of the automatics now, no problem at all. We offer either Stage 1 or a Stage 2 kits for all of the 08-09 kappa's manual or automatics, at this time we have not tested a Stage 3 on the 08-09's (the 08-09 models have a different ECM, throttle body, intake manifold, MAP sensor). There are a couple guys on this forum that have auto superchargers, hopefully they will chime in. If not feel free to ask any questions you may have here, email them to me at Dave@ddmworks.com or give us a call at 864-907-6004.

Thanks!

I have two Skys.  Mine is an 07 NA manual.  My wife's is an 08 DDM supercharged automatic.  After having the supercharger installed, I added the Solo hi-flow cat and Mach exhaust and two Aeroforce guages.  I don't know about shift points, control modules, etc.  I just know its fast.  I'm not sure which car I like best.  To me, a sports car should me a manual.  Don't know why, thats just the way it is.  However, watching the boost guage kinda makes up for the shifting.  If for some reason I could only keep one of our Skys, I'd keep the supercharged auto.  If you want more info, PM me.

All of the automatics we have done are running in the stock configuration without a transmission cooler.
