Weather report is rain late in the day Saturday so the run it still on.   I stopped by the Tiki Bar and this year they added more sand to the parking area next to the building and planted palm trees.  (on top of the tar, what were they thinking?)

That being said, Hyperviper says the Viper guys won't park there because they won't use the gravel lot.  (insert sarcasm comments as needed).

So they have called Catamaran's and arranged for the blocking off of 20-25 spots in front of that restarunt.  It's about mid point on the pier in Solomons.

So the run will continue as before but the ending in Solomons will be a drive past the Tiki Bar and around the small circle, then back past the Tiki and parking at the Catamaran's.

Notes for the run.

    * Bring radios. Channel will be decided on at the staging area.
    * There is an opportunity to stop for gas and use restroom during the run.  It is indicated on the map link.  This must be decided on prior to leaving the staging area.
    * No speeds over 5 MPH over the limits.  Calvert County Police will not tolerate this.
    * No burnouts or horse playing.
    * Dares beach Road and Route 4 is a busy intersection.  There is a right turn onto 4 North and then get into the left lane for two signals and a left turn onto Stoakley Road.
    * DeepBlueGXP will lead, Deedle will be in the middle and HyperViper will be sweeper..
    * On roads where everyone cannot proceed after a stop sign due to traffic, the lead car will ensure there is enough space and pull to the shoulder permitting a line up behind.  Once a all clear call is from the sweeper.  The sweeper will then pull into the lane and allow the rest to pull out and continue the run.
    * If you get separated, my cell is 410-610-8432.
    * The cruise is expected to last 1 hr 30 minutes with the last 6 miles being highway.  Stay in the right lane for the Tiki Bar / Solomon's Island ramp just prior to the bridge.
    * After the Ramp, DeepBlueGXP will block traffic and allow for the group to proceed to the loop past the Tiki Bar Area and back to park in front of Catamaran's

Viper Club is out with the possibility if rain after 3 PM in NoVA/MD,  June 19th is now the rain date..... to ride with them.
if anyone wants to still do this run tomorrow as a Kappa Only run.  I'm still on.

Answer up and we'll goto the Tiki Bar with the BBQ stand as originally planned.

If I can drive my car in the rain, a viper driver should be able to as well

I'm callin' it.  Not going to make it.  Have a good time.  If the rain date is 19 June, that's Smartin's birthday weekend and my actual birthday.  Somebody bring party hats  :dancing:

Thanks to Smartin, Critterman, Dark Tech, Deedle and JimmyBaja for making the event.  No rain until 7 pm tonight.    Since the viper club was scared of liquid sunshine, the June 19th will be the rain date and birthday run.

We drove the 1.5hr through Calvert County winding roads and we sat at the Tiki Bar and had food from the BBQ next door.   After that I took everyone on another twisty run to the beach and photos.  Critterman/Smartin left and we chatted at my place until 6:30om, then went to CJ's for their famous Pretzel burger

Attached is some photos from today's event.  There was an interesting motorcycle trailer with a license place FACE DN.

That motorcycle trailer was the highlight of the trip.  Talked to the owner, said he slept in it once and only once.  he has a remote opener on the cover.

Had a great time all that showed.
