Coupe VINs needed
« on: February 18, 2010, 07:44:06 PM »
Hey everyone. I'm writing a piece of code that will hopefully build on the work that GXPvin49 did. I need a sample set of FULL VINs though to validate what I've done already. Besides the check digit, there are a couple digits for NA/GXP and the engine code that don't seem to be fully documented, so I just want to double check my work.

5-10 VINs should be enough to validate, but I need a mix of NA/GXP and manual/auto to be sure. If you don't want to post it, then PM would be fine. Again, I'm only looking for COUPE VINs right now. Throwing verts into this would be another monkey wrench.

Thanks
Matt

For what it's worth, there isn't anything in the VIN# that'll spec a coupe vs. a convertible ...

You sure that Body Type digit won't change?

I apologize, you are correct.

Coupes will have position 6 as a "2" and convertibles will be a "3"

My mistake, and I verified it in my list of 2010 Kappas.

I added my vert to my other post.   So you can see both the vert and coupe and the 6th digit changes

According to the VIN Card Dave posted, there is a package change for manual and auto as well. I was hoping that wouldn't happen, but oh well..

You are referring to positions 4 and 5 designators?  To complicate it even further, they change every year '06 is different than '07 is different than '08 is different than '09 is different than '10. Whew!

That's a disappointing collection. When I still had Rogue I provided it's VIN to at least two other people who were collecting production info. One on this forum, and the other on Solsticeforum. This one is missing that VIN.
Go N.A.K.3.D..

For what it's worth, 9Y106110 on that list is a convertible. All the rest are correct.
