Boomerang Clips
« on: March 06, 2010, 08:35:49 PM »
Does any one know how to get the boomerang retaining clips that go along the top of the boomerang?  I removed the boomerang today and found out that the previous owner must have taken it off a few times.  Most of the clips were missing and the two remaining clips were badly mangled.

Thanks Bob, That's what I'm thinking also.  Most of the dealers are gone in my area, there is a Caddy dealer 2 miles away.  Maybe I'll give them a try.  I tried all the Pep boys, Autozone, NAPA, etc in my are and no one has anything even close.

Does it look like this?

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Only guessing but if it is, they have it here and there are likely other places that you could find it. The part number for this guy is 445375 and you can find it if you do a search in this PDF.

http://srfast.com/images/Catalog%20PDF%27s/GM_Clips_Fasteners.pdf

BETTER YET! This site looks as though they have anything you would ever need and they look as though they may even have those elusive rear view mirror pins for the connector as well. Have a look but I haven't any experience with either site so be careful.

You will find other sites with GM clips and fasteners here.

Bob,  looking at that site, will Pontiac drop off the site?  I don't see Saturn on there.

You could call them and inquire. I only found them by hammering Google for a little while.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but wanted to update it for historical purposes (for others that might be looking for these in future).

I was looking for spares of these clips and the links above no longer work.  After some searching, these fragile clips are GM part# 10148727.  Around a buck each: http://parts.nalleygmc.com/products/CLIP-RETAINER/2548922/10148727.html

Per item 9 here:

http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=389881

For completeness, the other clips on the boomerang (item 11 in the pic) are ~$4 each (!) and part # 11589329. http://parts.nalleygmc.com/products/CLIP-RETAINER-Floor-Console-Instrument-Panel-Instrument-Panel-Trim-Instrument-Cluster-Seat-Separator-Console/2590432/11589329.html
