Not really as connected as might be thought. I am quiye sure the ban is permanent. That said, the Hot Rod magazine project car can give some hint about the weight. Most of the serious "factory" drift cars are no holds barred projects. It is not unreasonable to assume that a full on dedicated drift Kappa should weigh in under 24-2500 pounds based on 29-3000 pound starting weight.

CF drops the weight about 230lbs and costs 4,200 bucks for the panels only, no hardware no install. losing 230lbs is like adding 23 horsepower....

The weight reduction is good for about .4 sec faster 0-60

But for the same price you can get your car to like 450 horsepower to the car, which will reduce the 0-60 by about 2 seconds to approx 3.5

I've been daydreaming about building an XP Sky one of these days if I win the lottery.  It's good to know that it would cost me at least $50k  :(

Then, DON'T start with a 2.0.

Why not just build a cobra? Probably the cheaper route...

Yeah that would be cheaper probably, but I've got this passion for being unique.  That's why I like autocrossing my Sky in AZ...I've only seen two other guys who do it.  One of them drives like garbage and the other is pretty good.  But regardless of how good they are, I'm happy to know that I have one of the better performing and best looking cars out there.
