I'm sorry, but what do those vids show?  Looks like all you are doing it reving the engine?  I am un familiar with the WOTBOX, not trying to be a pill.

Launch control, it limits the revs to a designated value. Is not 100% clear from the movie but I'm used with it.

Got it!  Now I understand the videos.

Thanks Kelu!

Yhup, it's actually different than the launch control on the cobalts because it cuts ignition and spools the turbo which lets you launch the car off the line in boost already.  Those are just to show how ridiculous it sounds at 4-5k, sweet spot on my car seems to be around 2300-ish launch-wise.

And Norm, yes, I'm fat as hell and just fall into the damn car.  God damn thing is so low.

I have WOB Box installed.  :yay: I installed hidden and brought a LED button at the base of the pillar which is an extension of the WOT Box functions (button and light on the same small LED).

The main issues were nailing the clutch wire (was supposed to be BROWN/WHITE and to me was BLUE/WHITE), the second big issue was setting up because lack of usability of their software it was pretty much a pain because the guy was afraid to push the gas pedal to the max and we had the false impression that we didn't set it up correctly.
I have finally found a USB - Serial cable (20$), guess what, doesn't work, issues with drivers and other shits.  :banghead:

I have tested 2nd step from 2000rpm, it's so nice and launches great. I was thinking whatta hell is not building boost, but than I remember there is no boost at 2000rpm from our turbo   Set it up for 3000rpm and test it and it builds boost 0.15 bar)

After that I was wondering myself how to set up the rpm for WOT Shift, than I realized there is no fixed rpm to shift as GMPP NLS, you can basically WOT Shift at any rpm as long you are in the time period (350 ms) setting for this and of course you keep the gas pedal to the floor. pantherqs can you confirm this is true?

I will document this product and make a complete review.

NormSky So I'm not the one which observed that, I wonder how my car makes when I get into it, I'm about 210lbs. What is your weight pantherqs

pantherqs What do you mean different than the launch control on the cobalt?

Confirmed, no fixed RPM.  NLSing at 5k produces 8 foot fireballs, just an fyi. ^_^
The NLS is :censor: ing great compared to the GMPP one.

yeap, that is correct, actually WOT Box comes with an adapter so any USB cable would be good with that:
(Attachment Link)

Tomorrow I will try to install it.

If you want me to pick one of those up and mail it to you, PM me...

EDIT: Never mind, I guess I should read the entire thread... ;)

LiquidPT: thank for the offer buddy, i give up trying  connecting WOT Box to computer, made the setting from the normal button and hide it under the steering wheel cover.
I will need to connect it when there will be a firmware upgrade for WOT Box, until than stays as it is.

WOT Box working!!!  :yay:  :yay:  :yay:

What I got from WOT Box:
FIXED - Electronic throttle control (ETC) delay and closing between shifts
FIXED - Loosing all boost between shifts and delay in rebuilding the boost after shift (just a small dip)
FIXED - No airflow between shifts  (just a small dip)

BONUS - 2nd step launch control - my launches will be more consistent and launching from a 5psi boost instead of no boost, all I need now are tires
BONUS - because WOT Box Shift the rpm decreases a little bit while I shift so will be a far better match with the tranny, almost impossible to be locked out or risk to hit dangerously high rpms
BONUS over GMPP NLS - I can NLS at any rpm, not only between 6000-6300rpm.

If I shift faster the dips in boost and airflow will be smaller.

Log with the 2nd step launch control:

Log with 2nd step launch control and two WOT Shifts:

Very happy about this product.

All I need to do now is to get used to it and to set it up for best performance.

Yeah, I was hoping his WOT box was the solution to his woes.  Seems like a great way to launch, but I don't think it is going to help his end of the track issues.  He will still be shifting in to 4th with 80 feet left.  Right?

Just a thought but has anyone ever looked into an add on overdrive unit for the Kappa?  Basically its a bolt on unit that you install between the trans and the drive shaft.  You can then change the gear ratio of the gear you are in simply by flipping a switch.

Something like this might be all you need to finish the last 100 feet in third.

Yes, did helped, launches are very consisted, my races for today weren't a solid prove for it, TONS of dust and concrete pebbles. Barely launched from 3000rpm. Lacking a timekeeper didn't helped at all to prove black and white, I did logged almost all my races and I scared the shit out of the 1500 people public with WOT Shift backfires. I will make a report about the race. I did lost all my races AGAIN on the last part of the strip  I'm thinking to another way, more powa will compensate that weak 1:1 4th gear. As long I don't get out of power band should be ok, am I thinking wrong?

how high would you have to increase your redline in order to be able to stay in 3rd? also what about the tires idea?

Kelu,
Now that you have the WOT box, couldn't you put a bigger wheel in your turbo?  You and Kenny have way more experience talking this stuff over, but I was of the understanding that the larger was going to take longer to spin, but had more power at the top end.  With the WOT box allowing you to rev better to launch, wouldn't that help?  Or am I way off?

And how much have you got in all your other mods?  If you could find a used setup that would work I bet it wouldn't cost the $3k.

GJ: bigger wheel gains are around 20-40 whp above my setup, I wouldn't spend $1500 (shipping back and forth will be a pain, or buying a spare turbo) for that, I would spend $3000 if there will be a turbo kit around 350whp-400whp with tq flat and no later than 4000rpm. Big wheel's tq is even shorter in rpm vs our stock turbo because we are limited by hot side housing.

Sol Asylum: do you think I could find a used converter like that and much cheaper which will bolt-on our tranny?
