If you try to post a replay with an unaccepted file attachment, it shows an error, if you go back, change the attachment and try to re-post the reply says you already posted this message.  :gaah:

If it had already posted the text of the message when you got the error, you would have to "modify" the message to edit the attachment.

There is something wrong with the media addon, I tried to upgrade it at one point and now I can't even post large attachments.   Looks like it's time to upgrade to SMF 2.X

A little insight for you guys to understand what it takes. 

1 - Duplicate the site to another location.
2 - Convert the new database to 2.0  (cannot revert to existing forum once converted.  Also none of the 1.X mods are compatible with 2.X)
3 - Once the new site is up, convert the theme to the new version.  This is what I having problem with right now.
4 - Figure out all the new features that used to be addons to the 1.X but is now part of 2.X and document the changes.
5 - Figure out and load all the mods that are compatible with 2.X that did the remaining upgrades I originally had for 1.X and document that.
6 - invite a few members to login to the new site to check for errors.
Once completed. 
7 - Shut down the new site and delete it. (except save the new theme).  Suspend the old one with a Site Maintenance Screen since there are new post/members and duplicate the site.
8 - Take all the recorded upgrades, enter them methodically until the site is complete. 
9 - Move the old site to a backup saved spot and relocate the new site onto the old one
10 - Open the new site with a Trouble Ticket section and allow users back in.

Joe I know what means to upgrade a forum. Isn't they switched to CVS and upgrading from admin interface?
If I can help let me know, I have skinned some forums and various cms even I didn't managed SMF I don't think is way to different.
