Stock GDI NA V6 in the 2010 Camaro is running 11.4 which is a bit rich right?

Pretty nice dyno chart, but it loses power up top just like us (but not as drastic of course cuz no turbo)

Some of the responses in that thread made me  :banghead: :banghead: or   . Anyway, the guy who mentioned that DI engines run leaner (by design) was right. It would be interesting to see what the Camaros and LNFs showed at part throttle applications. Our cars, for instance, return very high MPG results UNTIL the pedal hits the floor. In five Solo runs my car can drink nearly two gallons of gas (course dependent) yet high 20's on the highway. The V6 Camaros are also returning very high highway MPG numbers as well. All that said, NICE power curves.

First of all, that camaro is DI?
Second, normaly a NA runs leaner under WOT than a supercharged engine. Supercharged engine run richer to keep knock free because of increased temperatures. Now GM looks like shifts the rules?

Another question, how come GM delivers cars (not only kappa) which are knocking with good gas under 3-5 years warranty? That is odd in my opinion.

Just looked at my new Road & Track Camaro/Mustang shoot out. The Camaro V6 IS D.I. So ........ now I am confused as to why the car goes so rich under load. Oh well.

Yes it is definitely direct injection. Lots of other good stuff in there.

I'll let smarter people answer the other questions.

I don't know the answer but yes, they are direct injection and built in St. Catharines Ontario at our engine plant. We build the V8s for the car as well.

Trying to figure out a way to finagle a V8 to put in the Solstice but I don't like my chances...

Wait, I thought our LNFs ran rich which is why we have the soot in the exhaust tips?  :idk:

Lyndon does make it as rich as the stock Camaro V6 apparently is. As a matter of fact, at my last dyno pulls mine was running about 13:1 up to 5000 when it went to 11.7:1 at 5600 to 6500.

Because he increases the 304 BHP quite a bit more with just a tune.
I know it has nothing to do with the AFR but wanted to make a comment about the new DI v6 and what it can deliver both in power and mileage.

is it the same DI V6 as the CTS?  I thought they used different engines and that one (Caddy) was DI and the other wasn't, but not I see the Camaro V6 is DI, perhaps the same engine?

alas, I don't know the answers to the lean / not lean discussion so perhaps I should just shut my pie hole.
