I havent been on here for a few months and I wanted to let everyone know that we have 80 cars and 127 people registered for the 2011 NASSM in Austin Texas...... The Track event is filling up fast..... We now have our own forum which you can get to from our website at http://www.nationalsolsticeskymeet2011.com/.

From 51 cars and 81 people to 80 cars and 127 people, great news KYGXP. I am sure that the Official 2011 North American Solstice Sky Meet to be held in Austin, Texas will be an outstanding National Meet. Can't wait, it will be an awesome event. Extreme Kudos to all who have brought this National Meet to fruition!!!

Update from KYGXP! The last update for the 2011 North American Solstice Sky Meet June 20-24, 2011 is now at 92 cars, 148 people, 20 States and Canada. This update was made on January 3, 2011. Way to go KYGXP and thanks for all the hard work and time you have spent spearheading this great National Meet. I and Carol look forward to this NASSM. I believe that it will be one of the best ever.

I agree Yogi! I see you live in League City, Texas (Houston) and so you will be able to drive your 2008 Saturn Sky Red Line to the meet in hardly no time at all. How Sweet!!!

I just checked and our drive from Olathe, Kansas 66062-1144 to the Marriott South in Austin, Texas 78744 is a sweet drive in a Roadster for sure, uh, drum roll... 722.25 miles and only 11 hours and 16 minutes, driving time!!! Pure Bliss. Carol and I may decide to drive it in one day. How sweet does it get. Now it will take a bit longer with restroom stops and leg stretches but, what the heck.

But to the Lexington, Kentucky Regional Meet and the Nashville, Tennessee National Meet Carol and I took two days and split it up holding over in Webster, Groves Missouri where my son Rob and his wife and family live. But Webster Groves, Missouri is to far south so no layover. That just means more fun driving straight through to Austin or if we chicken out stopping to rest a night. I am getting excited even now, cause I have spent a lot of time in Texas over the years, mainly Denton, Texas as we had family there. I can't wait to get back to Texas. Don't know if I can get my Texas hat in "Miss Red Eagle", but might take it anyway to wear it at the Meet.

Coupe112 is spearheading this event in Texas and I am just one on the team.... also we are only wanting it to be the best we can provide..... The newest count is 101 registered and 163 people types....... I cant wait for Texas!!!!!

Keep em' coming Kim! Wow, as of today 13 from Michigan! Sweet indeed!!! That is just tremendous recruiting for sure! That would be an AWESOME CARAVAN!!!!!!! So far just 3 cars from Kansas and 1 car from Missouri. Gonna have to put embers on the fire for sure. Carol and I have caravaned to Meets in the past from the Kansas City area and it is a lot of fun. Thanks Kim for all the time you have spent on the Official 2011 North American Solstice Sky Meet! Sorry, 1KULSOL that you won't be able to make it, but you can follow the posts some might make during the progresssion of the Meet. I am sure that posts will be made on this thread as the Meet progresses. Only, bad thing about Meets is you really can't take your dog along, I wish they had rooms that would accept dogs as well!
