FS: Solstice "Deep" Blue Hood (Los Angeles)
« on: August 11, 2010, 03:58:30 PM »
Up for sale is a Solstice Hood in "Deep" blue color. The hood is in good condition. I bought it as a spare just incase but now I am returning my solstice and will no longer need it. It is just the hood by itself and the foam liner that comes with it.

Asking $300.  Must be picked up or I can POSSIBLY deliver if it isn't too far.

Nah.  Honestly....i really do think my car was a lemon.  I've had a crap load of problems with it, including getting my whole engine replaced and it still doesnt run as good as i'd expect it to.  I've gone back and forth with the dealer on this car...  Also, i really need a truck for my new job I am about to start.  I'd love to keep it (well a different Solstice since i believe this one is a lemon) but I just don't have the cash right now.  Once my job gets rolling...my dream is to buy an N/A solstice with or without an engine/trans and drop an LS1/LS2 in it, probably LS2.

Deep-GXP,

Do you have a few photos of the hood?  Is it used?  Any idea of mileage, dings dents etc?

I do have some but they're not that great.  It's hard to see the detail in these photos.  The guy i bought it from swapped it out almost as soon as he bought his car (he got the rksport hood).  I wouldn't have bought it if it was crap :)  There's some swirl marks but nothing that I dont believe cant be taken care of with some lovin :)  No dents or dings.  The very pointy part of the hood which is closest to the drivers side has a chip in the paint...not very noticable.  I'll take some better pics.

here are the pics on my craigslist listing

Ouch.  2kwk, hope it's not too bad!

If shipping is outlandish, I can pack it in my carry on for MMM8 and bring it to your there.  The ONLY problem with that is you will have to wait until May to get it.  :)

GJ

hope you are ok.

I'm just curious. Exactly how large is your carry on luggage? Will it fit in the overhead? AND do we really want another Steven Slater incident?

Don't you know, GJ has his own private jet! He'll hire Steven Slater to carry the hood for him (and his beers too!)

The Jet is going to be in Tahiti for a photo shoot that weekend, so I will be borrowing John Travolta's 747.  The hood will be strapped to the roof for the flight, but I'm sure it will get there fine.
