I can only imagine the damage I could do attempting a DIY engine swap.
I would rather pay to have you install it
:)

Being not very informed, what are the differences between the LS2, LS3 and LS7 engines besides the horsepower?

And besides the price? An LS7 was 13k last time I looked.

Some of the pertinent information didn't come through in the scan.

So they are all aluminum and the LS3 has the biggest displacement but unfortunately that does not include the actual weight.
that's something I am having a hard time finding anywhere.

LS7 is 7 litres LS3 is 6.2 litres

The weight of the engines has been mentioned somewhere here or the other forums. There should be very little weight difference the LS1 LS2 LS3 and LS7 they are all aluminum blocks afaik.

I was thinking that if my engine gives up the ghost someday that I would consider the V6 from the current Camaros. Has anyone here played with one of these engines.

if you are going to swap, might as well do the V8. The difficult/expensive part is the hacking, not the engine.

A very nice option is 3.8 V6 turbo out of a Buick Grand National. That's a nice V8 killer  I would be my choice.

Not in a Kappa, that I know of. I seen a post that someone did a Subaru Legacy GT.
