We made it to LA, checked in yesterday just chilled hung by the pool, we had breakfast in the Hotel with most of the guys that are from out of town, DMAC, JR, Forsberg, Tyler McQ and some of the sponsers and team owners. Off to the track in a few to start the fun. I asked the team owner for ASD how things were going "round and round lots of smoke" ...Ian Stewart

I am standing right under the judging stand, when the cars go by I take a picture and then close my eyes. I am about 2 feet from the cars when they pass, we get coated in rubber and grit every time they pass, hard to get pictures but the ones that turn out are pretty sweet. The guy with the 3 D camera says the people in the truck are freaking out because it looks like the cars are going to hit us, they are coming at us at about 70mph, and that was just practice.

no different than Wall then, you got to suck it in everytime a car goes by so you don't get paint transfer!

too funny

If you look at the picture of the camera, see the wall and the track. More than one car hit the wall right there, I was on the other side of the cameraman on Saturday. There was one car that hit the wall and we all had to run we were so close, the guys in the camera truck watching the 3D feed told us they even ducked. I have never been so close to the track. I could have quite literally touched the cars as they went by. They do not usually let people shoot from where I was, they only did it for the 3D crew. I worked a deal where I kept people out of there way if I could stand their way. Tanner Foust ended up winning in his illegal car (almost 1000 hp NASCAR truck motor), Jr. took second and DMAC in the Sky took 4th, he hit the wall hard in the battle for third, car is done! My son was standing right where he hit the wall, got no picture he was running. This was the last event for it anyway. No open tops next year, it's reaplacement was just purchased on e-bay, it will be a Kappa but nothing anyone has ever seen before, motor will be a V-8 again.

A kappa no one has seen before?  Really?  Is it a Kappa pick up truck?

Great shots Goat.  Next time, leave the camera on time delay when you run away so at least we have proof, cause most of us don't believe a word you say :)
