interchangeable hoods

Can anyone tell me if a hood and front fenders from a Sky Redline would interchange with my '09 Solstice GXP Coupe?

They will not bolt on. Nothing is impossible though and there was a gentleman that did it a few years ago but he was a body man and it was a heck of a lot of work.

Short answer? No.

For more information and the work that was involved, Google "Skystice"

The sky body is about 2 inches wider on each side which allows it to accommodate the vents on the fenders.  The won't fit without modifying the hood and doors.

Well, crap!  I really like my coupe, however I'm convinced the front of the SKY is far better looking.  There is a garage here in West Virginia that makes and applies a Cobralike front clip.  I suppose I'll just have to go with that.
I'm also looking for a whaletail like the Porsches had.

I was kind of surprised Pontiac incorporated a rear spoiler into the design of the coupe, I'm still not sure if its for engineering or aestetics reasons.  I've gotten used to it after having it for awhile and I've thought about adding a whaletail even before we bought it.  However, I'd want it to be somewhat subtle.  High enough so that it would flow over the tail lights without touching them (to enhance the cars wideness) while at the same time following the contour of the rear fascia without going past it much (if that makes any sense).  Something you'd think that was designed by the factory without it looking F&F.

Wow.  I think I found the hood I've been looking for.  Subtle, single scoup in the center, not blocking the view out the windshiled... Perfect.  Hmmmm.  Not sure I like the front end, but I do like the hood.  Looks like the just take the stock hood and then cut a hole in it, staple on a scoop and go.  but I like the look.

Do you think if I buy the hood they will throw the engine in for free?

That a Wade Linger rivet on hood scoop and is non functional.  Actually it looks like crap to me cause you can see it's not flush and all the rivets around it.  It screams "poser" to me.  If I put on a hood scoop, I want it to be functional in one way or another, whether to extract heat or to help the intake breath.

Wade uses the hood scoop for aestetics and for the supercharged motors for clearance so its functional too. :)

Well, to be fair the hood scoops on a FFR cobra are pop-riveted on as well.

Of course in this case it is a functional scoop though.

I totally agree.  I never said how shitty the one Shiny posted looked out of respect and concern for a friendship.  GJ, I don't respect you enough to need to bite my tongue.  Please don't do it.

I think it was that red color the driver chose, I found that particularly tacky!

I certainly don't want a tape on one.  I like the look of the small center single scoop.  I would like it to be further up towards the front and force cooler air over the engine and then out the fenders.  I don't need ram air as I have a turbo the size of a hamster.

But, for now, all will stay the way it is.
