I have spoken with Joe about this and I still am a bit undecided. I have two goals, to review our vendors products, but also to review products from other vendors that we all might be interested in. Then I had this idea, why limit it to car stuff. I like to read reviews of some new snazzy TV too. Or even better you bought a new lawn mower and it SUCKS, might save me from buying the same piece of crap. I did come up with some rules, no matter which way we go and I will let everyone decide what they want to do but here are the basic rules.
1. You MUST own the product, or at least have owned long enough to try it out and find it it was junk before you took it back. NO I READ ABOUT THIS, you have to have tested it.
2. NO CHEMICALS, I don't care if you think Billy Bob's car wax is the best thing since sliced bread, it is way to subjective. No motor oil either, same reason. You are welcome to post about this stuff just not in the Product Review section.
3. Vendors you can NOT review your own products, you can answer questions if you want.
4. Reviews don't have to be good, tell us the bad too. Don't take pot shots and if it happens to be a supporting vendor product, please try to correct or overcome issues by PM before giving a bad review, I mean they do pay for us all to be here, but you can certainly point out weakness's and make suggestion's.
5. Each product review has to be a new thread, with the Name of the product and the word review in the title.
6. Please give us a little more than I bought this and it is really great, why do you like it, and no I bought this and it sucks either, please explain.
That's about it for now. Review away.
This is not to become a DIY thread
