Need some advice
« on: December 03, 2010, 06:15:04 PM »
Just rec'd my Norms rear diffuser today, looks like it will be a tight fit and hard to work into place. For thise who have installed these, what tips do you have. Should I start in the middle and snap in then work outwards or start on a side and works towardw the other. Any tips would be appreciated.

For ease of installation, unscrew the wheel liner from the rear bumper.  It'll make it easier to access the tabs when installing the clips.

Start in the back middle and work your way to one side and use the metal tabs to hold it onto the diffuser

Thanks Deep Blue, I'm just really having a tough time pushing in those 1st center tabs, corners will snap in though. My Solo exhaust is already on but that shouldn't be causing any interference. I know when I pulled the stock valence it was pretty tight. I just don't want to damage the paint while I'm attempting this. I kinda thought this would be the easiest part of my exhaust/diffuser mod. LOL

River

My 2 center tabs were a little 2 thick and would not push in all the way but the rest would.   Compare yours to the stock fascia.  To resolve it, I dremeled them to be the same thickness as stock.
[Note, not width, thickness]
Once I did that, the entire fascia snapped in very easily.

Elff

Thanks I was thinking about that also but was waiting to hear if someone had done this, before I headed that way. I'll put my caliper on them for comparison. Isn't helping the garage is 32 degrees now. May wait for a warmer day when everything is a bit for flexible. This Forum is a great tool when little burps happen like this, everyone has some good tips from their experiences.
