Hi, episodes of "Setup" just appeared on Hulu. They appear to be about people being chosen for a pro
racing chance. It also appears they have a dozen Kappas they will be using to weed out the herd.

There was two seasons of "Setup" - Speed channel that used Solstices. It's a cool show to watch on what they do with the racing setups.

You can allegedly download Hulu videos to your computer... But I haven't tried it yet...

Cool. I'm watching on Hulu on my TV right now. They are trying really hard to make it dramatic and it's not working, but there are worse things to watch.

I know two of the contestants through my taking as well as hosting Evolution Schools - Kevin Dietz and Mike "Junior" Johnson. Trust me, because I KNOW these guys know what they are talking about. Do NOT take ANYTHING away from Setup as any sort of guideline for setting up a Kappa. I was told that a lot of the "goodies" never made it on the cars. Strange stuff was done to the cars to make things look spectacular - for instance, the ABS systems were disabled. To go with that, the producers had they guys put Hawk Plus pads on the fronts ONLY. More? From the horse's mouth at Koni - it was a JOKE. Had they actually known what it would be like, they would not have participated. Most, if not all, of the cars were wrecked, although it is not shown. Most were not well repaired. There's more, but that's enough. Enjoy it for its entertainment only. There is NOTHING of value for modding your cars.

BTW, in real life Kevin is as he is presented. (Take that for what it's worth!!) And Junior is really a great guy, and a wonderful instructor. If you attend an Evo School, having Jr there is a bonus for sure.

True. Rumors?
All the cars were scrapped.
After the engines were "tubed" they started acting like pop corn.
As drivers were eliminated, the worst cars were used for donors to supply worn out parts for the remaining fleet.
Roll cages were not up to any organization's specs. They were just cobbled up.
The producer knew nothing about race cars or racing.

There is more, some of which I will not share, but there are those that said it was mere luck that somebody was not seriously hurt or worse.

Really!! I got tired of the soap opera and stopped watching but that is really interesting. This "anything for the show" manipulation makes me wonder about Top Gear too. I know a bunch of stuff is staged (but still fun to watch) but wonder if they do similar things to the cars. Of course, I am amazed that they survive some of the stuff they do in those old beaters......

I'm on season two and the more i watch the more i hate watching it.

The "drama" they are adding is crappy, and the suspenseful music is terrible. Just everything is bad about it cept the few minutes per show you see them drive.

They are trying so hard it hurts.
