Ic questions
« on: January 21, 2011, 07:27:58 PM »
Ok guys it's time for me to drop those ait's and run some more timing amd boost.
Dejon hahn and ddm make ic for our cars as well as Werks.
My question is why is the works 599 and everybody else 899.
899 for a intercooler is kinda steep. But it is what it is. Anywayse has anyone had any troubles installing any of these ic or have they all bolted right up as stated.

As I understand it, the Dejon is a drop in unit, while the rest require some ................... ummmm ......... fitting.

Drop-in can be pricey. How much do you think you should be paying per hp?

Slybob is right fitment is better with both DDM's and dejon's intercooler.  My last car has the dejon intercooler and I had to trim some plastic behind the intercooler.  But, the major difference is the number of cooling pleats in the intercooler that are more open for more air flow through the intercooler. Check out the example below.

ZZP's is for colbalt, can't expect it to fit in our car. Just showing that it seems ICs are really expensive for our cars!
