Hi,
At dinner last Saturday there was a group consensus for the Auburn trip to be on Saturday, May 14th.
Since it will be a long drive for some of us the plan right now is to stay at the Potawatomi Inn in Pokagon State Park, about thirty miles north of Auburn, IN. Janet and I plan to leave Friday afternoon, probably around 1 PM to head northeast from Lafayette. Our chosen route will take us about 4 hours. Plan is to be at the Inn for a dinner at 7 PM.
The museum opens at 9 AM, how about we plan to meet at the museum on Saturday at 10 AM? This would give us 2 full hours before lunch. Still working on a place for lunch, any recommendations, especially in walking distance?
The afternoon would be good to visit some of the other museums nearby (see links below). Suggestions?
Janet and I will be staying Saturday night at the Inn too and head home Sunday morning.
If you would like to meet with us on the way, say where and we will figure out when.
